My name is Gregory P Morin, and thank-you for visiting. I generally go by 'Greg' and sign electronically 'Gpm' - unless you catch me on the air (see KB1VLZ).
My bride Sylvie and I make our home in Plantsville, CT. We share this home with our two daughters; Monique and Simone, and four cats. I'd like to say we run a tight ship, however we're not too sure who is really in charge around here.
Professionally, I'm an IT Architect working with customers of a well known computer company. Most days I listen, occasionally I draw pictures. My daughters thought at one time my career was 'being on the phone'. I've been doing this a while now (over two and a half decades) and expect the on-the-job-training phase to wrap up in a bit.
I have many interests and hobbies - some can be found around this site. Most days I try to scratch out a tune or two on the fiddle. When I do, one cat runs away and another joins me at my feet. I'm not sure if there is some commentary on my playing there...
The weather info at the right is direct from a weather station installed at our home. The reports are fairly accurate. Conditions here are available on Weather Underground, and are also made available to NOAA via the Citizen Weather Observer Program. Observations are also published here.
I enjoy tinkering in my workshop. That can be woodworking, metal working, or fixing old machines. I've been playing with amateur radio lately. There's always shells to be reloaded, and flys to be tied. I invite you to look around.
